Admissions

The admissions nurse connects with all people referred for Casey House services. While a majority of our referrals originate from the health care system, particularly hospitals, anyone can refer and even self-refer to our programs.

Clients are admitted to the Residential Program based on their level of need, and not in order of application; priority will be given to those who require palliative or end of life care. However, respite care admissions are pre-booked and will be based on the order of application received.

Upon admission clients are assigned a primary nurse and a secondary nurse, which provides the client with a consistent point of contact through the course of their stay in the residence. The nurses take on the responsibility for co-ordinating the client needs with their goals.
